Cooking With Tempeh

Tempeh is an old, but newly popular, vegetarian source of protein.   Through my plant-based recipe experiments in the kitchen, I’ve come to really love tempeh.  It has a the wonderful ability to take on any flavor, has a great texture and is an extremely versatile protein.  It’s a perfect replacement for meat in many of my dishes! tempeh reuben, vegetarian reuben, reuben sandwich, vegetarian sandwiches

I wrote about tempeh a while back (in this post here) when I was first was introduced to it.  I’ve revamped this post just a touch with new information.  Plus, over the last year I’ve developed a few more delicious recipes featuring this unique protein.  To check out how tempeh is made, how to use and cook with it head over to The Stone Soup Blog for my newest tempeh post!  And don’t miss this delicious recipe – it’s one of my favorites – my Tempeh Reubens with Pimento Cheese!  Yummy!
