Simple, quick and easy, this poached egg recipe can even be made on a weekday morning!

  • 4 extra large eggs, the fresher the better
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • 4 English Muffins or 4 slices whole wheat toast
  1. Fill a large saute pan with water leaving about 1" from the top of the pan.
  2. Heat over high heat until water just begins to simmer. Do not boil.
  3. Add in vinegar.
  4. Crack eggs one at a time into a small bowl.
  5. Once water is simmering, stir the water in circles to create a small "whirlpool" effect. Gently drop each egg, one at time, into the pan.
  6. Gentle simmer eggs for about 1 minute for runny yolks or 2 minutes for a more cooked yolk.
  7. Remove eggs with a slotted spoon or a small spider.
  8. Serve immediately with english muffins or toast.
